Miss Ella is now two months old! It is crazy how fast time goes by, she just keeps growing and growing. She sure has gotten more active lately, catching our eyes and smiling as soon as we make contact. We even get to have a conversation with her as she coos at as and it is just the cutest thing ever! She has such a sweet disposition about her and has been such a good baby.
Today she got her two month shots and can I say that knowing you child is about to feel pain is something I don't look forward to, but I know it is what is best for her. First they weighed her, a whopping 11 pounds 14 ounces and in the 70th percentile for weight; then they measured her 23 inches long and 80th percentile in height. She sure is a big girl and about the size her brother was at 4 months! Then a quick check-up from the doctor and everything looked good. We just waited for the nurses to come in for the shots. Poor thing had four vaccinations today, put she calmed down once I was able to hold her and feed her. When we got home, Ella was super sleepy so I just let her sleep.
As Ella is growing I remember how fun it is to have a little baby who will just let you hold them and cuddle them without trying to wiggle away. Sometimes I just love to sit and hold her and do nothing else. Holding my sweet baby girl in my arms is so precious as I know she won't be this little ever again. It is so sad to think that as she keeps growing I won't have my little baby anymore, but it is always so fun as they do age and learn new things to have those experiences with them.
